The Opening of the Masonic Year in Hunedoara County
As they are accustomed, Freemasons that polish the stone in Hunedoara Valley, in an atmosphere of great celebration, have organized a Common Meeting at the Temple in Hunedoara on the occasion of the official opening of the New Masonic Year, an event joined in by over 80 Brethren from Deva, Hunedoara, Petroșani, Resita and Arad, on 29.09.6009. The locals are accustomed to organize themselves for themselves, each September, in a celebration occasioned by their gathering again after a two-month pause.
The Official Opening of the New Masonic Year was preceded by a Working Meeting of the Assistant Grand Master in West Region - the Right Worshipful Brother Marian Mihăilă - with the Worshipful Masters and Past Worshipful Masters of the Lodges in Hunedoara Valley.
Through much work and self-denial in the Masonic Order one can attain to high degrees, but no one ever can be raised to the degree of Venerable Master if he does not enjoy the respect and trust of his Brethren in the Lodge. The welcoming speeches of the two Installed Worshipful Masters (Sebastian Șușman at Sarmisegetusa Lodge from Deva and Valeriu Butulescu at Mistria Lodge from Petrosani) strengthened our conviction that the starting Masonic Year will turn out to be full of fulfillment and satisfaction within the Columns of the Lodges.
May it be that the Great Architect of the Universe keep enlightening Romanian Freemasonry and help us reach the Force and Wisdom necessary to the permanent work in the Lodges to which each of us belongs.
