Consecration of the Temple of Pitagora Lodge No. 220

As the Grand Master of the NGLR recently declared, the Most Worshipful Brother Eugen Ovidiu Chirovici, "in the last two-three years a veritable constelation of Masonic Temples has started to shine on the skies of Regular Romanian Masonry. I mention only those in Arad, Bacău, Botoșani, and the one in Pitești. I am not talking about hastily made improvisations, but veritabe masonic places, that wil last in remembrance in the decades to come. This proves once more that our Order is being edified and catches root in this welcoming realm to which Masonry owes so much and which itself owes Masonry
so much".
The Consecration of the Temple of "PITAGORA" Lodge, No. 220, in Constanța took place on Saturday, October 3, 6009 A.L. And was ed by the R.W.Bro. Radu Bălănescu, Pro Grand Master of NGLR, the personal representative of the Grand Master of NGLR.
His Brotherness, very pleasantly impressed by everything he saw - both as esoteric work and as erection and internal decoration -, said the following:
"Under the gavel of W.Br.o Ștefan Bălănescu, the Brethren in PITAGORA Lodge, No.220, from Constanța, have managed to transform this virtual Temple that we all imagine, into a wonderful yet concrete Temple like that one dedicated today.
Take pride in what you have accomplished, because it is "the brightest star among the Temples in the Obedience", and as a sign of his appreciation of your work, the GM of NGLR, M.W.Bro. Eugen Ovidiu Chirovici has released a Decree through which Pitagora Lodge, No.220, from Constanța is awarded the "Masonic Order in the Degree of Knight", the distinction to be offered on the occasion of the NGLR Convent."
The R.W.Br.Traian Caramanian, Pro GM of
NGLR declared, himself profoundly impressed by what the Brethren from Pitagora Lodge, No. 220, achieved, that: I was born and formed as a Mason here in Constanța and that I am proud of the Temple today consecrated, about which I can say that, if, as the GM of the Grand Oriente of Italy recently said: "Romania is the Pearl of Est-European Masonry", the new Temple is a jewel of the Masonic buildings in Romania.
We can hereafter invite here the great personalities of international masonic life and take pride to count this among the most representative Temples in Europe".
What we have accomplished we have done with all the Brethren in the Lodge, in a very short time, through exemplary mobilization. This is one more example that our force lies only in our unity and common work. Together, we can do things that we may not even dare to dream about.
I am honored, and proud of my Brethren in the Pitagora Lodge and especially of Brethren Marius Stamate and Nicu Baturi, whom I thank for all they have done, each alone and all together, to edify this much desired by all of us construction, this splendid "Masonic Complex", now unique in Constanța.
We will be honored to receive at any time the visit of NGLR representatives, and, why not, of delegates to the World Conference of Grand Lodges, an event of great international echo, which will be for the first time organized in Romania, in the calendar year 2010.
I close with another inspired declaration of
the GM of NGLR, M.W.Br. Eugen Ovidiu Chirovici: "The building of a new Lodge, of a Temple, is always one of the happiest moments in the life
of an Obedience. It is like the birth of a new child in a family - it is not only the birth of a new soul, but a hope that the living flame of the symbols we cherish and for which we should be able
to give our lives even, will long last, beyond us, men of today."
